stay on with being

2020-03-29

We wait ... for the pandemic to end. We watch dates on the calendar move farther and farther out. We wait for all the things.

I heard this (paraphrased) as part of a sermon delivered from a safe distance on Facebook Live, Sunday, March 29, 2020.

When we wait we are saying, "I am not living now, but expect to be in the future."

I cannot possibly live now, this just sucks too much to call it living. I am not able to do or enjoy ANY of the things. This is certainly not my best life. But, I shall live again! Hopefully next week; but, probably not until the end of the month. Next month? Seriously? This just sucks ...

When we wait, we are deferring life.
We are not present. (We imagine we are future.)
And, we suffer as we wait.

Get on with it? No, that sounds effortful.
Stay on with being.
